But here’s what he really wants you to know:

I discovered Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) when I had a series of seemingly disparate symptoms that biomedical doctors could not make sense of, nor could they treat effectively.

Why was I experiencing anxiety, insomnia, TMJ (jaw) pain to the point of not being able to chew or even speak? Why did I develop eye inflammation that caused photophobia or light sensitivity to the point where I had to close my windows and turn off all screens like a vampire?

No one had an answer. My acupuncturist did. The causes were multifactorial, but one of the biggest causes of my maladies was grief. My father had passed away one year prior, but I had no idea that emotions could cause physical symptoms - not really.

And so when my acupuncturist put it all together for me, and started to explain the basic tenets of TCM, like yin, yang and qi and how they interact in our bodies, I started to fall in love with this medicine. I had found a holistic system that successfully encapsulates the spiritual, mental, emotional, physical and even metaphysical aspects of being human.

A few months later, I enrolled in the Master’s program at Emperor’s dedicating my life to deep healing. Five years later, hundreds of didactic hours in lectures and learning practical techniques ranging from Eastern to Western medicine, fifty hours observing supervisors and interns, over eight hundred clinical hours treating patients in my school’s community clinic, seeing over two hundred patients, here I am: at your service.

I will, to the best of my ability, assist in your deepest healing.

I look forward to working with you!

Wishing you deep healing,

Dhruv Jagasia, L.Ac.
